“Mi Arizal” is to me, a way of honoring and bringing visibility to all of the living beings that inhabit the dry tropical forests of the ‘Montes de María’ in Colombia. The song is a way to show reverence for their identities and to preserve their traditional names based on the local culture. The objective is to pay respect not only to these local forests but also to acknowledge the great importance of conserving all the forests of the world.
